I have had a reply from Portishead Quays Marina who say that if we have more than 10 boats they are willing to offer a small discount of 5%. At the moment we have 16 confirmed boats going so this shouldn't be a problem. It is only a small discount as they say they have installed new washrooms and due to the bad weather haven't had a lot of business so can't offer much on their original price which I understand is currently £2.50 p/m.

Great work on this Matt. I do assume that everyone does realise that the buffet at PCC will not be free. Although they will not be charging much, and it is always very good food.

I was thinking about locking out at about 10.30am. As there are 16 confirmed boats going I guess it maybe best staggering going out at skippers discretion.
If there are any new to sailing or a bit nervous about going out on perhaps their first trip let us know if you need a boat to shaddow you.

I do hope the Severn remains beneath me as well - I find it useful to have water for my boat. That is, my boat, in which I do my voyages, as opposed to others, who use not-their-boat for malarky on the ocean. That's two now Besides, moving blocks is just so much more fun and challenging than sailing, or so I was told by the skipper of Ishtar, LOUISE No now he has done the Atlantic a mere Severn crossing is beneath him :;

Matt had an accident yesterday evening, apparently lost the top of his finger. Don't know the full story but I hope he will still be able to make it on Saturday. Look forward to seeing you all there.

Jon/Al (Illusion),
What time will you be at the Club tomorrow (Sat)? If Matt's not around (see Sheila's post) perhaps we could meet up and arrange shadowing.
Matt - hope you are OK. I've done that (no surprise with my track record I suppose). It hurts and is a real nuisance.
Mike.

Unfortunatly Matt has had to spend the night in hospital and is hoping to have his finger tip replaced this morning after he put it in the fan belt pulley on OF last night. (Ouch) He will not be joining us on Saturday for the trip to Portishead, but wishes everybody a good time.
