I can answer that one - Brian's using www.photobucket.com - It's free to use, and the upload is reasonably quick using a wifi connection at least. I'm sure Sheila's used it before.

It's Incredible, we're in the Marina in the far Corner of the Main Harbour and the waves are Breaching the Marina wall It's Impossible to walk the Pontoon without being hit from above by Waves.... the Marina Staff have Strengthened the finger Pontoon I am on with ropes before It Breaks! as the Rubber Blocks between the platforms appear to be stretching beyond their safe limit we are side on to the Swell ,making things very rocky we have had to Stow all loose Items as we would for Sea..... walking around the Boat can only be done by holding the grab Handles, I'm really missing my Camera there may be a few Photos to be had tomorrow, since we are in a deep Low the Barometer has been dropping like a stone for Several hours and the reading was low before dropping, If it drops any more we'll need Oxygen!
Interesting to note though outside temperature 18 degrees Celsius could open the hatches if the Sea Spray wasn't so Heavy

There will be no Interesting Photos on this Day things are Calm I woke late this morning barometer risen 17hpa since I fell asleep in the early Hours of the Morning..... there is a large weather window, I could reach Troia or Sines By Saturday... If I left Tomorrow around 4pm or 3pm I'd arrive at around first light, or could reach even Further If I motor for a few hours which I do Occasionally to Charge the Batteries...... but I can still spend 12 nights here, I am torn, If I do go South then more marina fees (double or Triple what I pay here) or Anchor, the wind will Prevent my full Journey to Faro, If I don't will I ever Go further South?I will do My Best to be in a Marina over Christmas so I may Contact My Family and Friends....... what to do, I suspect I will Stay here but Tomorrow will tell. I,ve Emailed the marinas at Troia and Sines to Hopefully get a Price, Maybe they want Customers and will discount the Price. The other British Boat, BIRD Bristol Based has left this Afternoon Bound For Madeira..... Good Luck Bird.....

Arrived at Sines Portugal the previous two harbours we arrived at had no visitor Pontoons available because the Storms have damaged them beyond use, the place we are at has also been damaged but the have given me a berth for the month. I will see Christmas out here It will be Quite but there are Celabrations planned in the Bay with Fireworks etc.
The outside temperature reached 21 degrees today but evening is cold and damp.

Spent some time Checking out the area Quite Pleasant really a welcome quiet period after the previous Bad weather. I Anchored at Peniche and Cascias since the visitor Pontoons had suffered damage from the unusually harsh south westerlies, my Burgee also I'm sorry to say did not withstand the winds [a href=" "] [/a] Cascias looked nice but we did not go ashore. [a href=" "] [/a] [a href=" "] [/a] Sines old town reasonably Inexpensive plenty of Bars restraunts shops etc [a href=" "] [/a] able to soak up some sunshine [a href=" "] [/a] while Blue Bear is safely moored in the Marina [a href=" "] [/a] the Views from the boat are stunning [a href=" "] [/a] the Marina is clean well Maintained [a href=" "] [/a] Will stop travelling now for this year I've done Enough. Sue's ready though [a href=" "] [/a]

Oh, so jealous of you both. I just love Portugal and have been going there on and off for 25 years. I am still wearing a lovely pair of boots that I bought in Cascais about 20 years ago! Cascais is a lovely little town, very stylish. To catch a train from Lisbon along the coast to Cascais is a lovely trip. In 2002/2003 Vince & I spent six months or so living in the Algarve, and just before Christmas that year we drove up through the Alentejo to Lisbon and spent a couple of days there. On the way back we drove down the coast as much as we could, and we went through Sines, although we didn't stay there. Lisbon is fab at Christmas, the lights and decorations are lovely. I expect you are both quite exhausted by now though, and well deserve a rest. You've still got a good old way to go if you are heading for Faro! Got to get round Cape St. Vincent, it's quite stunning there. Anyway both, you are in our thoughts at CYC, and we wish you a Feliz Natal and a Bom Ano Novo! Sheila & Vince

Lovely pictures again. I don't know if you've been following the weather here, but most of us will be jealous of you.
I don't want to spoil the surprise, Bri, but I've asked Santa for a nose hair trimmer for you.

Sue can read you like a book She said instantly when I added the Photo you would say I needed a nose hair trimmer ;D ;D ;D yes I've been following the weather have you seen Jersey? Even here in Portugal, apparently the temps and winds here were last recorded this bad in 1978, 5 degrees one evening the Marinas on this Coast are all exposed to South westerlies apparently we're in for another rough time in this Marina they have tied 15 ropes to the Boat on the other side of the pontoon from me and Secured them directly to the pontoon since It snapped the cleats off in the last storm. I only have 10 ropes 4 springs and two each in the three Corners never mind we have temps above 20 most days, I like Snow but not that much for that long Sheila's Pictures are Excellent.

Best Wishes to you both. Are you ever coming back? where are you headed? whats the dream? do tell!

Best Wishes to you both. Are you ever coming back? where are you headed? whats the dream? do tell! Peter and Elaine Peter I'll definitely be Back, but not this year my Insurance cover takes me to the Canary Islands, after that ?? my plan was only to Portugal originally, just far enough south for a longer sailing Season Couldn't Imagine Sailing in Britain in Arctic temperatures. the weather here is horrendous at the moment Blue Bear is tucked nicely in amongst the local boats to ease the affect of the large swell entering the Marina all the Boats bar one French 37 footer are all tightly packed in including 3 Spanish 7 French 1 German 1 Canadian.. the poor 37 footer has to remain on the outer Pontoons he has already broken 2 ropes, he has the task of continuously Checking his ropes

Boxing day,,,, From where we are now we saw on the outer pontoons a westerly, thought I'd have a look who'd arrived in Last Nights winds, which affected us very little. Turned out to be British registered Supernaut, a young british Couple who'd arrived with no usable Genoa and engine Cooling Problems, with Gusts of 55 Knots of damage to their Sail [a href=" "] [/a] however the mainsail being New faired much better, They are Non Drinkers...... well not strictly true we've shared some green tea while Chatting about, people we've met and places visited... Voya mentioned and pictured earlier....the makeshift Square rigger has given up, left his boat and Flown to Canada. shame really was really enthusiastic

Today 6th January,We will Start to Plan our next Course I've Been Given the link to a New Weather Forecast Link Ugrib which seems to be good, By Sarah and Steve. supernaut.moonfruit.com/#/guestbook/4535468477[a href=" "] [/a] Who's Company have made the stay here very Pleasurable, While here more and more of the locals become Friendly, in Particular Nuno, the owner of 'CHAPARRO' a 40 foot Moody...... the extra few feet over my 33 foot made a huge difference to the internal Design which is a 'one off' Design...... giving loads of head room to the Aft Cabin, huge Kitchen area and best of all the large under Sole Wine Cellar that could hold enough wine for the Most Greedy of wine Drinkers, Sue and Myself visited the Boat to taste the Local Beverages, Porto Cognac being my favourite. [a href=" "] [/a]. I paid a special interest in the wind vane self steering System. He gave me ample Information to keep me occupied for quite a while via Email hopefully we will now keep in touch [a href=" "] [/a] The Part we have been waiting For has Still not arrived but I can only assume it has been lost in the Post, it is Insured. what happens next to that situation I can't imagine.....I will post to the Forum our intended plans in the next few Days

My Parts have arrived. The only thing holding me Back now is the Comfort I have fallen into here, but Supernaut and Nuthin Wong are ready to Leave, Both will Leave Early Next week, Monday and Tuesday Respectively.... Myself, I'm Undecided on the Next Course, I think I'll let the wind Decide...The weather although Variable is a few levels lower on the Beaufort scale than on previous Legs of the Journey, hope this weather trend keeps up. then Maybe I'll be able to add some Best Fish of 2011 to the Fishing Section
