has anyone had experience of cardiff marine services for engine serving or repair? or have any advice on where to go for help?
I think I can do all my filter/oil changes though would appreciate a chat through if anyone has a BZ482.
Have a worry though about a possible air leak in exhaust pipe joint and a water leak...
any advice welcomed.

"Gem" also has Beta BZ482 13hp. Have done most jobs myself so unable to comment on CMS. Mine used to eat fan belts (one season -4!) but now seems to be cured by:- 1. Fitted belt with notches/cut-outs on inside. 2. Ensure pulley V-grooves sufaces are good i.e. no rust pitting. Clean up with emery cloth if necessary.

Had to have a new "water lock" fitted whilst in Brittany this Summer.

I have a B20HE installed in Lady Kate (Centaur) in 2008 by Beta engineers at Topsham in 2008. Brought her up to Cardiff Marina were she was serviced by their engineers - excellent service - no dirty hand prints etc. When at sea you need to know your service engineer knew what he was doing when you allowed him near your baby. rbhorti

Thanks for all your advice. Pleased to say I managed to get a diagnosis of a perforated ejection elbow, so I got a replacement, refitted it and all is well again :-)

Hi all,
my dad used to use Cambrian Marine for servicing his Outboard and they are very good, excellent service etc are they the same as Cardiff Marine Services?
Cheers Rob
