Looking into a river cruise next year up the Severn/Gloucester/Sharpness. You do not need a safety certificate but have to comply to certain requirements on the boat. A week will cost around £10 from Gloucester to Stourport and looking into another license from sharpness to Gloucester. Anybody who can shed any light on this would be of a great help. Here is a link... www.waterscape.com/media/documents/20930.pdfWould be nice to see how many would like to go please vote. Possibly go June, July

Are you registered on the YBW Bristol Channel Forum? There are loads of members on there from that neck of the woods with loads of info. I think there is also one (or more) of the yacht clubs that does a cruise in company up to Gloucester at some time during the year but I can't remember which one it is.

Thanks for that, I have sent out emails to all concerned in the BWW and hope to get some info back. What I have read is that it has all changed for 2010 so might be a good idea to speak to the main people. Could be a good time had by all, are you up for it?

I think the Portishead cruising club does an annual Easter cruise to Gloucester. I think it is open to non-members too. Allan

Not sure whether we'd be able to make it as we are going away for our fortnight's holiday in May and I don't think I would be able to have more leave, unless it would be unpaid. However, can look at the situation again after our hols. Let us know when you have any more info. Sheila
