Now that Chausey is back home at CYC it would be nice to sail in company again. We are planning to try for Lydney next Saturday. Hoping to sail in one from Cardiff, leaving at 0730 or 0800hrs. If we cant make it, then it will be Portishead for the night. The week after, Sept 5th, we hope to set off for Ireland, via Milford Haven. Again, we are hoping to make Milford in One trip. Anyone who would like to join us for either trip or has other plans we may enjoy please feel free to get in touch.

Allan,
Unlikely to sail with you before Oct, but would love to do some weekend trips after that. Still hoping to see you in Milford. Saturday/Sunday during the day is probably not on for us, but an evening pub meet might work.

At present we plan to leave CYC early Saturday 5th. I will be over at the boat tomorrow and trying to work out if we can make it in one trip. If all goes well we will be leaving for Ireland in the afternoon of 6th. Are you likely to be at the club Wednesday this week? Allan

Yes, I think we'll be down. Sounds like we may miss you at Milford.

Hi Karen
There's the Jacksons bay BBQ trip the weekend after next (look on the cruising announcements board). Suggest you post there offering to crew if you're available, there's usually a couple of boats looking for help.
Alternatively if you would prefer to take your boat you could ask if there's anyone experienced who'd like to crew for you.
Why not join our Wednesday evening sails?

Sorry couldn't resist!
Last year a few of us went out more or less every week, but this year we haven't for one reason or another. I think we seem to be starting it off again though.
The time will depend on the tide if we're going out through the barrage (sometimes we've just stayed in the bay) and on peoples availability. We're locking out at 17:00 tomorrow. If we're going next week I'm sure one of us will mention something on the forum at the beginning of the week.

Anyone up for a sail tonight? (Wed 30th).
Vince and I had a lovely sail to Newport yesterday afternoon. Locked out at 13.00 moored on NUSC pontoon for a cup of tea around 16.00, just before high tide, then again a lovely sail back to Cardiff, locking in at 18.45.
