Allan who? Which trip is it you are referring to? Is it one that has been posted on this forum? I can not say that I am familiar with a boat name Maisey Star.

Hi Sheila, The Allan in question is Allan Fawcus ( also known as Allan Chausey.)
If you put the boat name-Maisey Star - in the search box of this forum and search.
I think around that time Allen did a couple of deliveries looking to build up his miles for a qualification he was after.
Allen still visits this forum so hopefully he will be able to shed some light in how Maisey Star has fallen on hard times. Such a shame as it looks a lovely vessel in the photos that were on the 2010 report
Cheers Steve D

Steve, Maisey star is an ocean 50 which I helped deliver from Totnes to Cardiff Marina. At the time it was owned by a young chap called James. He kept her at Cardiff Marina for a couple of years. The last I heard of her, or James, was that he planned to take her down to La Rochelle. Before she was called Maisey star, she had been called Olympian Challenger. She was raced by Steve White who later did the Vendee Globe on Toe in the water. At some point she had also been used to storm training in Biscay. Do you know where she is now? Allan
