hey hey! It'll be a while before I get back on the water, being attached to land at the moment, in the Emerald Isle. Gathering dust is my tender and o/b, and I hate to see sailing kit, well, not sailing! So, I've decided to sell my tender and outboard. Details below (photos link at end). I'm in Ireland (thought I'd restate that), so might be difficult (or at least a challenge) for collection - postage likely to be a bit. Miss the auld craic at the club and the crazies therein :-) cheers, Paschall.
Avon Redstart (newest model) and Torqeedo Travel 801
The fantastic and highly desirable Avon Redstart for sale. Almost brand new when I bought it, I used it for one season only. It’s a cracking tender, and I’m selling only because it’ll be a few years before I can return to sailing and I hate seeing it gathering dust. It was by far my best buy during my sailing years! Included is the original outboard bracket (very expensive and very rare). Made from the toughest Hypalon, it also comes with a repair kit (which was never used, and there are no repairs present). All valves were replaced, as a precaution, and work extremely well. Holds pressure forever. Has inflatable forward seat, with three floor boards covered by Hypalon sheet (all original). This model has the double ‘rubbing strake’ of Hypalon ribbing, and foot pump with pressure guage. Builtin grab lines port and starboard. Comes in original Avon bag, with all ties and clips working perfectly, easily folded and stored, and easy to carry with several grab handles. Rated at a 3 horse power (2.2kW) o/b and 3 people (will take five easily)
Also included or for sale separately, the award-winning Torqeedo 801 Travel. Equivalent to 2HP combustion, it’s very lightweight, foldable, and easy to transport in it’s own waterproof storage bag. The battery is a lithium manganese and comes with charger. The entire outboard collapes into a compact footprint. The prop is 12” x 10” variable pitch, variable camber type. Total weight is about 12 kg. Easy to see the charge, easy to use, easy to judge distances. I had a great time with this, and of course, it’s very eco friendly. It’s reputation is ultra light, ultra mobile and ultra strong. This complete package gives a great tender unit, great looking, high performance, long lasting and extremely durable, ecofriendly and with an excellent reputation.

Torqeedo came out on top in both tests!
