I thought the same, and it would be nice to be able to keep an eye on the moorings in rough weather from home sometimes as well. Im sure it wouldnt be expensive or difficult, could always ask the IYC how much theirs cost. Someone at the AGM on thursday might want to raise it?

If you're prepared to organise a webcam, you certainly don't need to bring it up at the AGM. Just submit your proposal with costing to me and I'll put it to the committee. I can't guarantee approval but it seems like a good idea to me. We are a club for the members, run by the members.
I would like to see WiFi across all of the pontoons but can't be bothered to put the work in.

PS. I think the Ilfracombe webcam was paid for by the tourist office, not the yacht club.

We now have some CCTV cameras around the club which may help with security. Wi-Fi, more security cameras and webcams are all possibly. All we need are volunteers to arrange them. Allan |
