Congratulations to our Early Bird racers

Congratulations to our CYC members for their successes in the Early Bird Cruiser Racing series. They all braved some terrible conditions this year, culminating in a freezing and very windy final race last Sunday.

Successes go to Mike Jones-Downing, 1st place in PY1 fleet, Redeye and Mark Branson, 3rd place Shooting Star, and their respective crews.
In PY2 1st place went to Nick Niclasson and his crew on Preceptor, and 2nd place to Phil Bradley and his crew on Moontide. CYC boats took 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and 12th places.
Perhaps this is why it looks like David Cairncross is wiping a tear from his eye, CBYC not having done so well! I don't know who the little boy is!

Cheeky! Volition came 6th overall out of 12 boats. He gained a 2nd and a 3rd place during the series, and only raced 7 out of the 8 races
