This lady contacted the Club via the website to enquire about crewing opportunies.
I am interested in ad hoc crewing in the Cardiff area. I have several years cruising experience (though in warmer/dryer climates), and have my own boat, a Moody 38 kept in Croatia. I miss the sea during the winter months and am interested in crewing anything over 25’, weekdays or weekends, local or longer. Happy to provide a fuller sailing CV if needed.
I am early 60’s, live with a partner who is a reluctant sailor nr Llantwit Major. I’m generally free during the week, as retired (was previously in nursing management). I have sailed seriously since 2004, when I got my first boat, a 26 footer in Dubai, a Maxi Magic. I then traded up to a Moody 38CC which I skippered from Dubai to Croatia in 2010, she is now in Croatia and I sail there for a couple of months each summer. I have done RYA to Yachtmaster, but do not have local knowledge or local experience, and have probably forgotten most of what I have learnt about tides! I love being on and around boats and and miss the sea nowadays. My boat’s name is Selinaris, and there is a blog of our trip if this would help ‘get to know’ me.
