I know it's a little early but I am planning to go back to Brittany for the last two weeks of June. If anyone else is planning to be there it may be fun to meet up.

It was suggested to me that this trip could be turned into a club cruise. I would be more than happy for this to happen. My plan, at present, is to sail Cardiff-Newlyn 14th June and across to France Saturday 16th June, arriving 17th. The planned destination is somewhere between Camaret and Audierne, this depends on making some tidal gates. Once there and rested I plan to sail to Belle ile, then the plan is to take a slow cruise back up the coast, returning to Newlyn for Saturday 30th June.
The total trip will be a little less than 1000miles.
Anyone interested please feel free to post on here.

That would be good. I would love to see a few CYC boats over there at the same time. Edwina and I had a great time this year and I feel that it we have learnt some things that make it even better next year. Having said that I wouldn't be changing my plans it looks like I may do just that. There is a possibility that Edwina and I may be able to get 3 weeks off for the trip. We should know after Christmas.
If that is the case, I will be leaving on the 7th June and have an extra week in France.

The dates for our trip have now changed a little and, for us, have improved. I plan to leave Cardiff 14th June and get to Newlyn 15th. We hope to leave 16th. We will have to be back to Newlyn by 7th July. So it is now a bit over 3 weeks. I hope that fits with everyone else as it gives us the chance to go a little further than first planned. It will mean some quite serious sailing at the start.

Katy is very interested in joining in the fun. Although at the moment it really depends on Tracy being able to get the time off work, but she is very keen despite the squalls during her introduction to sailing on the New Year's sail. None of my family would ever set foot on a yacht again if they got pelted with hailstones at 70mph on their first time out, but she said it was fun. A bit scary at times, but fun. Is she crazy or what?!?!?!?!?

It would be great to see you there Julian, the more the merrier. Sometime in the next couple of months I suggest everyone who is planning to come alone get together to discuss their plans. I'm happy to pass on some of the things I learnt last year and the requirements for paperwork etc.
