Could anyone advise me as to a fix to stop my radio picking up my depth sounder pulse. Without the depth sounder powered up the radio is fine, as soon as I switch the depth sounder on the radio just relays a load of interference at about a 20ms frequency Any ideas please

Keith, my handheld VHF was picking up my sounder when both where switched on. I simply moved the radio to another position and that cured the problem. the instruction manuals always advise you to check your intended mounting position for interference from other electrical kit. Hope this helps.

Keith, It is probably worth checking where all the wires go and making sure they are as far apart as possible. Is your switch panel at the top of the keel box? If so you may be able to move the wires. If that fails I believe you can fit surpressors. Allan

Keith, I sometimes get the same problem, but only when using ch 18. So, on days that it's playing up, I just knock the instruments off whilst calling the barrage.
If it played up more often or with other channels, I'd be looking to fit a supressor as Allan suggested.
