I agree with keeping flexible. I have something on Thursday night so will be in Cardiff Friday morning. As I'm not a fan of Swansea, I am thinking of heading for somewhere else then maybe meeting up in Oxwich on Saturday. Where I go depends on the weather, Porlock and Burryport are possibilities at present. Allan

After your comments on another thread, surely it's got to be Burry Port!

No I don't have a problem with Tawe lock. It would be very difficult to make a bigger cock-up than I made in the past. Luckily I have changed the boat name since then. Allan

For those that don't know there is a fishing tackle shop in Swansea Marina, opposite where the fishing fleet is moored.
See you all Friday!

Looks like Julian on Katy has decided to go further west so was wondering if I could hop on someone's boat on Sunday morning in Oxwich to hitch a ride back to Cardiff as some of us unfortunate souls have work to go back to.

Matt You're welcome to come back with us, though I'll probably be leaving in the early hours.

We're heading further West as well. Hoping to lock out before 9 on Friday, head West with whoever is around. May try Watermouth if the gusts from the SE are as strong as they forecast. Driving back from Dale on Sunday afternoon.

Have just confirmed with the marina that they'll have no problem accomodating us all.
Also the lock will be closed between 1430 and 1730 for LW. There are a couple of yellow mooring buoys just below the Tawe lock that we are welcome to raft off should you arrive during these time. Alternatively we could get some fishing practise in Swansea Bay!

Huw, that's kind of you to offer. I would love to catch a lift on Camelot if that's okay.
I see that LW Swansea is 5.12am so appreciate you will want to go about 4am I'm guessing.
Thanks.

Yeah that's about right. I'm not totally decided on a morning departure, but it is plan A at the moment. If not it'll be about a 15:30 departure.

Have just checked the forecast, the wind is now forecast to become N or NW by late Saturday morning, which should be perfect for us. Pity it's not a little stronger though to get Camelot moving!
