Sheila and I decided to take Ishtar out for a bit more ladies sailing. We locked out at 13:30 and headed down towards Lavernock We then had a little practice using the cruising chute, getting in training for the round the holmes race. Good job no one was around to take pictures of the tangle we got in trying to gybe! Locked in at 17:15, and put Ishtar back in her slot on the pontoon in the dark. Night sailing and cruising chutes! There's no stopping us now! We would still love to have more ladies joining us, whatever your skills, we can all learn from each other and at the end of the day as long as we enjoy ourselves it's a good result.

I second that Louise. You did a brilliant job with the cruising chute. It's been brilliant out sailing with you, and also when I've been out with Carol & Karen. I'm waiting for a decent tide now for us to do a little trip up the Rhymey River - good practice, and providing the weather is reasonable, now with the dark nights coming in we should manage a few more "night sails" on our returns to the Bay. Really looking forward to the Round the Holms. I must start reading up on putting up the cruising chute, or get Vince to show me on ours. Vince has now got his new spinnaker for Alana, but I don't think I am ready for that! But it is a very pretty pink colour! Speaking of which, if you read this Angie, don't forget to bring your pink pirate flag when we go out!

Don't encourage them. They're bad enough as it is!
