We will be running a dinghy sailing course, 2 days, on consecutive Saturdays 10th & 17th October. This will be based on the RYA level 2 course and be run by our qualified dinghy instructors but we will not be issuing certificates since we are not yet set up as a sailing school. However, if appropriate we will be able to sign people off to use the club boats. We'll tailor the course, depending on the skill levels of the participants.
Places are limited so if you would like to take part then please let me or Hannah know as soon as possible.
We're going to run this with club boats and with our own boats and need support from the more experienced dinghy sailors, so please let us know if you are able to help out.

In general it's open to all. We probably won't be able to accommodate smaller children though so it might be better to discuss. We have instructors backed up by experienced sailors and will be using club and our own boats. Places are limited but if the demand is there we will hold more sessions.

Hi Jim, place booked, I've forwarded your email on to Hannah and she will be in contact with more details.
That makes this course full now, but we intend to hold more if the demand is there. These are for members and their families, anyone who would like to get into dinghy sailing. We're also getting new members coming along who are complete beginners so this is very suitable for them.
As part of the OnBoard scheme we hope soon to be set up so we can run proper RYA courses and issue certificates, and then we will be extending our operations in a controlled way to people outside the club.
Please let us know if anyone is interested in future courses so we can assess demand.

And from an forum administrator's viewpoint, it's good to see courses being advertised, and subscribed to in this section.
The forum is slowly starting to attract more interest, with lots of 'guests' reading posts every day. If any section of the club attracts new members by new people reading posts here, that's great.
