Just me & the old man today. Took the 7am lock out. Headed for lavernock to see what coditions were like but looked snotty so anchored South West of Penarth sandbanks first. Wind calmed down after so went round to Sully for slack water. Wind picked up again so came round to Penarth. Then moved to Cardiff north for an hour or so. Lastly moved to gullies between Cardiff Foreshore & Rhymney river for the end of the flood. Bagged about 6 or 7 good fish each not including the doggies. Tries out a new points system making tweaks along the way, pretty sound I thought. Although dad won 18 points to my 16.5 and I had 2 rods to his 1! (weren't fishing it hard today) Any way, some pics... The first Blonde Iv'e had aboard! A nicely marked Thornback My biggest fish of the day - a Conger of around 15lb ;D Dad's biggest - a Thornback around 12-13lb Couldve taken plenty more pictures of some fine fish that we caught with more rays & conger to 10lb but it gets annoying having to wipe the slime off your hands every time so I can get my phone out to take the pic (excuses tut tut). Back in on the 5.15pm lock in Tight lines Mark

Really odd looking things, aren't they, when you look closely at them. The fish are quite strange too. Excellent. Well done lads.
