Members travelling to the yacht club from the east should be aware of road closures that will be taking place in and around the city and in particular Mermaid Quay on 3rd June.

UEFA Champions League - Navigation Restrictions – Inner Harbour and River Taff
No 5 – UEFA Champions League – Navigation Restrictions – Inner Harbour and River Taff
Mariners are advised that the following closures are in place as part of the general security around the 2017 UEFA Champions League Finals football matches being played in the National Stadium and the Champions Festival in Cardiff Bay.
Inner Harbour:
From 0900 hrs on Thursday 1st June until 0900 hrs on Monday 5th June, the Inner Harbour water area (Beyond the yellow special mark buoys) will be closed to all unauthorised vessels. Mariners are advised this includes the Graving Docks as well as the Pay and Display pontoons.
River Taff:
From 0900 hrs on Friday 2nd June until 0900 hrs on Sunday 4th June, the River Taff will be closed to all vessels beyond Taff Mead water bus stop.
Police vessels will be operating in and managing these areas during the above days.
Vessels wishing to enter or leave Cardiff Bay should contact Barrage Control on VHF Channel 18 and await instructions before entering the Outer Harbour.
Mariners are reminded that CCTV is in operation at the Barrage for operational and health and safety reasons. All CCTV images and VHF transmissions are recorded.
