Club members were treated last night to a talk about Cold Water Shock and its effects given by recent recruit to the RNLI team, a retired GP. It was thoroughly interesting, quite an eye opener and gave us all food for thought.
Laurie Pavelin also advised us that the RNLI has not raised the sufficient money for the new lifeboat which will hopefully be built and commissioned by 2018.
He thanked Cardiff Yacht Club and its members for the substantial donation that was made early on in the appeal for funds.
