Well ........all's very quiet on the forum and the fishing what is going on? I know of numerous boats that have been out but have not had any bites, what do you think the answer is? Could it be the fish are off squid, ragworm, mackerel, etc. We caught a Cod the other day, the first this year, and was ram jam full of crabs and prawns, are they off the feed of the usual baits we use OR are there other reasons. Have you been out and had a day with out a nibble? Tell us about your fishing day out, I don't want your fishing spot just is everyone getting the same result on each day out?

Hi, I agree it's tough out there. I often sit on the boat having tried all my baits & rigs, wondering whether the fish are finally full. Has it been such a good year for crabs and prawns that the fish have turned into bankers & just aren't bothering to take risks anymore?
It's times like these that maketh the angler though, & this was proven on Sunday by Sandpiper. I fished not far from him off Sully perfecting the art of drawing a blank whilst he was showing off a beautiful 9lb Cod. Well done Paul. Was hoping he would put it back in and point it's nose in the direction of my boat, then I remebered it was a Cod not a Doggie.
But no matter how dead it is out there, I am going out tomorrow (Friday 20th Feb), the forecast & tide is good, and I am getting excited just thinking about where to drop my anchor...
...and THAT is what it is all about!
By the way this is my first ever post, will try to shorten them in future! Will let you know how I get on.
