Amazing luck!

It has come to my attention that a very, very strange occurence recently happened when a club member was on a cruise.

During a period of bad weather, the said member unfortunately lost his wallet and mobile phone over the side of his tender when battling horrific weather conditions. That is what was reported. We all felt for him. Luckily, there were some other club members on hand to bail him out with cash, and use of phone.

Imagine my surprise then, when it turned out that even more bad weather has caused in the sea gods to cough up both the wallet, its entire contents and the mobile phone, all in excellent condition, and all dry, very near the point of loss, in the bar of a local drinking establishment.

Amazing isn't it?

Now I'm not one for spreading rumours, so maybe someone else would like to step in at this point and fill in the gaps in the story?

I feel a bit of a Scilly billy for believing him.

Now, now don't go casting aspertions against my hero! In actual fact there was no alcohol involved at all and he had just called in to the establishment with Dave Case to collect Richard and they had both been so wet that had to take off wet weather gear and must have dropped out of pocket. I must admit that my first thought was the same as everone else's
