Had a superb sail today. Locked out at 10:30 and sailed down past Lavernock and then back to the mid Cardiff before heading back towards the barrage. The original objective was to play with my cruising chute/genakker (still not sure which it is!), but the kids had other ideas, wanting to sail Camelot themselves, which was fine by me, as they were showing more interest than usual!
Once again conditions weren't at all 'wintery', it was quite warm, we had just under 10kn of steady breeze, and the sea was totally flat - perfect!
Unfortunately as we were dropping the sails the engine cooling alarm started to sound - I couldn't find the cause immeadiately and thankfully Vince was within hailing distance and came to the rescue. Many thanks to Vince and Matt (who was crewing for Vince) for the tow in.
Later discovered a kinked pipe which once adjusted fixed the problem, it might explain the problems I had the other week getting it to prime after changing the impellor - just strange that we got all the way back from Bangor without it causing us a problem.
Thought I'd better own up on here about the tow before someone else announced it!!!

Guinevere to the rescue again! Vince took a lovely picture of Josh sitting on deck looking so despondant - his face says it all. Won't publish it to the site though. Glad you've managed to fix the problem Huw.
