Louise and I can't make our mind up.
We finish diving this weekend, so at last have a chance to spend some (long) weekends sailing Ishtar in Milford.
The high pressure looks set to continue however, and we are seriously thinking about making a trip out of coming back, via Lundy (having a dive) and Clovelly, Porlock and back over about 5 days. Starting on the 24th.
Really would like to stay down West a bit longer, but may lose the chance to see Lundy while the weather is fine and there is still some evening to enjoy.
Decisions, decisions.

I can thoroughly recommend Lundy as a place not to be missed - I have only spent a few hours there and saw a tiny fraction of the island (the pub and the path to the pub!!!).
We even had dolphins swimming around in the anchorage whilst we were in the dinghy. Awesome place.
I have an ulterior motive for trying to send you there - I'm hoping to persuade You and Louise to accompany me there next year for a weekends diving!!! And I think having been there you'll be very keen to return.
Besides don't you miss the chocolate milkshake? All that clear water doesn't live up to the hype!

It would be nice to see you back but the high pressure is at present giving us easterly winds. They are not good for your return trip and may make the trip to Lundy a bit difficult. There are anchorages to the west of the island but I'm not sure you can get ashore easily. Allan

Huw,
One of the reasons for going there is to check out the diving. I do have kit on board, and one 12 litre cylinder, full......
Allan, clearly the wind situation is central to our plans. The long range forecast has Highcentred over us next weekend. If that does eventuate, then no winds are quite likely. Not really what we want either - had to motor most of the way down. I favour leaving it a few weeks, but Louise is keen to get out to Lundy if it's warm and sunny.
I also want the chance to try out my RIB, and do a bit of diving at Dale this autumn.
I remember when I used to have such difficult decisions planning out work commitments........

It's looking likely that we will be heading back this weekend, leaving Llangwm on Thursday and arriving Cardiff on Tuesday, if all goes well. After that, we'll be looking to do some weekends away.
BTW, if anyone is heading out this weekend, we should be at Lundy Fri/Sat, Clovelly Sunday, Porlock Monday and sailing for Cardiff Tuesday. All subject to changes, naturally, but might see some og you out there?
