Louise and I have been spending a bit of time in Milford Haven, as posted elsewhere. What has surprised me in the last few days, is quite how many club members sail in the area. We were passing the floating pontoon on Monday evening when the cry 'Ahoy Ishtar' came from the moored yachts. We spied this pair heading for The Griffin in Dale: It was Dave with Wyndsong, and Andrew on Plato, just in from Tenby: I shared a couple of beers with them after Louise went home on Tuesday night, they headed for Lundy the following morning. Hope it went well, guys, and nice to meet you Andy.

Two days later Louise and I were back on the same pontoon, when we heard a thump outside Ishtar's stern. I promised the cause of the thump that I would not name him (Hope that's ok, Brian), but there were two other boats from Cardiff. We all met up at Dale Yacht club for beers later: To the left is Gary, who is not a member, but then we have Martin and Sarah, of Hera: and Brian and Sue, from Blue Bear We also passed Charlie, although her owner was sadly not aboard: It was great to meet members, new and old, and good to see so many out sailing and doing the miles. More detail on our trip when I get a chance.

Another picture of Martyn and Sarah, aboard Hera, taken yesterday, with Neyland yacht club in the background.

And this is Gary, aboard Renegade, sailing with Martyn and Sarah, although not a member. A very interseting and nice fella, who cooked a fantastic Grey Mullet for us all on Tuesday morning, caught by Martyn, using and Australian method. I couldn't quite work out how Martyn caught the fish, but it involved hypnotising it, like Crocodile Dundee does with that water buffalo in the film, and then persuading it to jump out of the water and fillet itself. Fascinating stuff.

Looks like there are more CYC sailors in Milford than there are in Cardiff! You didn't mention Jean Jeanie, The Moody from B pontoon, in the first picture. Allan
