Results of Lundy Race 31st May 2014
Class 1 12 finishers, BATO came 7th
Class 2 14 finishers: MOONTIDE 2nd LES ANNE 4th VOLITION 5th PRECEPTOR 12th
There were no entries in Class 3 from CYC (2 boats finished)
8 CYC boats entered and took part.
There were 44 entrants overall. As you can see many did not finish.
Started off with very light airs. In the post race presentation the IYC race controller in his speech said that it was the first time he'd seen a boat start the race going backwards over the start line (one of ours but I won't say who!) Wind did pick up eventually, but sadly too late for some.
Congratulations to all. Another great weekend.
Writing this from the Griffin Inn at Dale. Off to Ireland tomorrow. Just about 3 hours before tomorrow morning's Hi-tiddly-I Tide (Get it?) Hope we've got the timing right!
