Hello All, can't make tonight I'm afraid, anyone going anywhere Sat and/or Sun who may need another pair of hands? Or even if you don't could squeeze me in, I'm getting withdrawals....

We had a wet start to yesterdays sailing with rain and no wind for the first hour but then, as usually happens the clouds parted and a little wind came together with a glimmer of sunshine. It was also my first time in the bay with my new boat and I had a great time as she performed wonderfully ;D. Those that were out were: Ocean Factor - Me, Cath, Meg, Peter, Dean Arrietta - Keith Sunbeam - Joff Popea - Lyndon & Richard Well done especially to Keith and Joff who are really getting the hang of the single handed stuff  . Ocean Factor - Matt, Cath, Meg, Peter, Alan
The wind tonight is looking good and no rain forecast!

On Thursday we had a good tide to go around flatholm and nice weather too. As the nights are drawing in this will probably be our last Thursday night out in the channel and the last few Thursdays will most likely be in the bay. Boats out were:
Sunbeam - Liz and Joff
Arietta - Keith, John, Alison
Ocean Factor - Me, Peter, Damian, Dean, Rob
The tide was against us on the way back to Penarth and a big thank you to those who stayed up late to help Joff and Liz back safely.
Usual meet up this Thursday at 5pm.

We had the last night of the Thursday night sailing meet ups last night (sniff) due to the deteriorating light and cold conditions to come. These will however be starting again in Spring 2013. Boats out last night:
Ocean Factor - Me, Pete, Dean
Sunbeam - Joff, Rob
We had a great sail in a great wind and were bombing along. I have to admit that we had a bit of difficulty in tying up to the pontoon afterwards but a great end to the Thursday evenings.
