Wouldn't it have been lovely if Alana had been able to 14.5 knots! Loving your blog Martin. Glad you enjoyed Lisbon. It's fabulous at Christmas time with all the lights. That's some galley you've got on Chelone, almost bigger than my kitchen at home!

Congratulations Martin and Louise. You seem to have left at about the same time ARC and are in mid pack. I look forward to the photos.

They are now (i.e. 14:10 on 13 Dec) visible on the AIS map at www.cardiffyachtclub.org/aismap.html . If you type in chelone into the vessel search, and assuming their AIS is turned on, you will see their current position and recent tracks.

Thanks for all the best wishes, we are currently on the way home from Gatwick. The journey that took 8 weeks by yacht just took 8 hours on a plane! See you all soon xLou

Well done both. I guess you will both sleep soundly tonight in your own beds. I bet the write ups and photo's, as good as they, do not capture the true beauty and sense of life time achievement you both have gained over your last 2 adventures. Looking forward to catching up with you both. Mart, Nice to see the Dale tourist board lady is still smiling & enjoying her self Cheers Jacky & Steve

Cheers, Steve. We have three bottles of wine in the fridge.......
I cannot get my head around the fact that last night we flew in 7 hours 20 minutes what it took us 7 weeks or so to sail. Weird.
Catch up soon, hopefully Thursday?
