We have a number of jobs on the jetfloat pontoon A, B and C that need to be completed before the winter storms! If you have a boat moored and would like to volunteer then please contact cycpontoon@aol.com with your contact details; the job you feel you can assist (jobs below); and your availability.
jobs :- 1.Check and replace/re-install where necessary vessel to pontoon mooring rings/shackles. 2. Check and replace where necessary pontoon connectors ( mushrooms). 3. Check and tighten where necessary pontoon connectors. 4. Check and make good pile cage connectors. 5. Check and repair/replace damaged sections of pontoons. 6. Co-ordination : Co-ordinate a days activity.

Hi My husband, Paul Dymond/Ewyn Mor, has asked me to reply offering his help. He would be available most Sunday mornings and some evenings if not working late. He would rather just join a working party, not co-ordinate.

During July, August and early September a number of members have assisted with the pontoon maintenance programme - a big thank you to those involved.
A quick update :
Task 1 : Check / Repair / Replace the fixed mooring rings.
The fixed mooring rings on the Eastside of Pontoons B & C have been checked with damaged parts replaced/removed or identified as requiring further intervention.
Next Step : The next batch of parts have arrived. Improvement work will start up again on SATURDAY 19th SEPTEMBER - focusing on Pontoon A; Westside of B & C.

We will meet at the picnic tables outside changing rooms at 10am. Please bring your 19mm spanners/19mm socket/adjustable spanners & life jacket.
Pontoon Work Party Dates for the diary:
Saturday 19th September 10am Sunday 20th September 10am Saturday 3rd October 10am Saturday 10th October 10am
Note : by arrangement parts can be made available for work to be carried out at other dates and times.
Task 2 : Stabilise Pontoons : Tighten / Replace / Install missing plastic side screws / washers & mushroom connectors.
Completed.
Task 3 : Replace damaged sections of pontoon (work to be carried out in calm conditions). Completed. Task 4 : Replace damaged or missing pontoon pile cage connectors (work to be carried out in calm conditions).
