Maybe I am a little tardy in posting here, but I thought I should let other motorboaters know (just in case they don't look at the sailing chat) that despite being the only motorboater that went on the cruise to Portishead at the beginning of April, I was made to feel very welcome and included by the sailing cruiser fraternities both from our own club and PCC.
I had a great time, and would encourage other mobos to join in future cruises. I will certainly be going again with our fellow club members even if they do have to rely on wind power.

Well said. I think Allan (Chausey) hits the nail on the head when he says that cruising in company doesn't have to mean all trotting along like little ducks in a line. The important thing is to be out on the water with good friends, and enjoy the evenings at anchor or pub/club.
It doesn't matter if you get there before, or after everyone else, whether you make the whole trip, or just part of it.
On the Portishead trip, people left on different days, and at different times, and went by different routes, but, to my knowledge, everyone enjoyed it.
So, if anyone else is thinking about it, try it - you might like it!
